Chapter 4 System?
Qin Kong is now Monk Yuanxing. This person is peaceful and always follows the circumstances. But he has his own principles and even has a little obsessive-compulsive disorder. Once he sets his goal, he will do his best. Therefore, Qin Kong on Earth can be a otakus to be a salted fish. Qin Kong on Blue Star will also work hard to complete his studies and become a scientist. He practices diligently and studies seriously in Tianchan Temple. These self-disciplined behaviors are just because of chance. Then he will definitely be a more qualified monk.
It is more qualified. This is the definition of Yuanxing. Although life in the temple is rigid and hard, it is still peaceful and comfortable, so it protects him from growing up to this day. Therefore, if you regard it as a job and regard the rules as the rules as the rules of the employees, it will be easier to accept.
There is a saying among the people: "Buddhism is good at practicing." Practicing in Buddhism, especially Zen temples, can be said to be simple and difficult, and it depends on how you treat the practice.
Let’s talk about the “clear rules and precepts” first. The so-called clear rules are “Hundred-Zhang Qing Rules”. All Zen forests in the world must abide by, and Tianchan Temple is no exception. However, local areas still have their own regulations. Tianchan Temple, which has few temples and few people, does not pay so much attention to it. After so many years, I have not been used to it.
The precepts are one of the three Buddhist treasures, and you must take precepts when you become a monk. Take the precepts of Mahayana monks as an example. In theory, there are 250 scary precepts, which must be followed.
Yuanxing summarized it casually, among which 13 items you need to be punished in public and repent. 34 items you commit and go to hell after death. 90 items you will fall into the evil path. 100 items you will regret it after violating it. There are two uncertainties, four regrets, and seven quarrels (Note: This is not made up by the author. Buddhist rules are detailed precepts that can only be read by monks. It is not convenient to describe them in detail here. I don’t know much about it). That is really true that no matter you talk, walk, dress and eat, you will break the precepts if you are not careful.
These precepts are naturally extremely important for disciples who are dedicated to Buddha. Breaking heavy precepts not only requires serious consequences, but also means that they cannot become Buddhas. Breaking light precepts will lead to "slight defilement" that will defile practice and require alertness and repentance.
It is not the case with fate. Being a monk was just the best choice at that time. Although he was extremely serious in reciting scriptures and chanting Buddha's name, he had experienced such bizarre things as time traveling, but it might not be possible to say that he was a man of science and engineering. In his opinion, the previous precepts ceremony was simply a fool to the Buddha! It can be said that he was a real fake monk.
Fortunately, the Zen school belonging to Tianchan Temple advocates "Why keep the precepts when you are calm? You don't need to practice Zen when you are straightforward." It is said that there have been madmen in history who scolded Buddha for not being a thing. This has caused him to be much less restricted. Of course, out of professional ethics, the Ten Commandments of Buddhism must be abide by, and he is doing well at present.
Yuanxing has actually made some plans for the future. He went out for a few years while he was young and had a long experience. If he couldn't walk, he would teach a few disciples to support his old age in the temple. Then he would write a few lectures on the meaning of the sutra and pass on it. Perhaps he could become a famous monk. When he closed his eyes, he would burn a few stones. No, the relics would be perfect.
But the next series of things disrupted his plan.
At night, Yuan Xing sat cross-legged on the cushion, holding the Buddhist beads tightly, and asked in surprise: "Who are you? No, who are you? Why are you suddenly appearing in my eyes?" The reason for this is that four bright golden words always appear in sight, and he couldn't disappear regardless of whether he opened his eyes and closed his eyes. The four words were: "Hello, Yuan Xing".
"Whatever you want to say is good, you don't have to say it." The words in front of you changed: "I am a merit relic made by my Buddha, which is specially designed to help Buddhist walking. You can call me a golden cicada."
It felt a bit like an online chat software. Yuanxing quickly asked in his heart: "What do you mean is I walking in Buddhism? Why is it me?"
"No, I always exist in your mind. You are the destined Buddhist sect walking, and you are destined to be born."
Yuan Xing was stunned for a moment, then furious, gritting his teeth in his heart, "Is this the thing you did when I travel through time?"
"You on Earth have died suddenly in your sleep. It took a lot of merit and energy to make your soul integrate into Qin Kong in parallel time and space. This is to save your life." The text still appeared slowly: "You shouldn't blame me!"
"Dead?" Yuan Xing sighed and thought, "Sure enough, how did I get here?" Somehow, he was not as angry as before.
"Because the merits stored have been 90% gone, I cannot instill Buddhist knowledge in you, so..."
"It is easier to travel through time and space together than instill knowledge?" Yuan Xing was shocked. In his cognition, traveling through time and space is not a simple thing, right?
"It is my main function to help you walk through the heavens and all realms. Of course, this also consumes a lot of merit, so I have been dormant until now."
"The heavens and all worlds..." Yuan Xing thought of the novel he had read: "What do you want me to do? Also, how could I become a child?"
"Make good relationships, kill cause and effect, and subdue demons and demons to gain merit. There is a huge rock on the back mountain of Tianchan Temple, which is where you often practice martial arts. Things are buried thirty steps west, and you take them out and practice them into magical powers, and you can go back."
"Go back? Go back to Blue Star?" Yuan Xing raised his eyebrows and was about to ask again, but the words in front of him changed again.
"It is also the reason why I consume my merits because your previous post made me understand one thing. Monks should start from childhood."
The sentence that appeared in front of him made Yuanxing urge to vomit blood. Start from your childhood, but no matter how he called or even cursed in his heart, the words in front of him gradually disappeared and there was no movement.
After hearing that he could go back, Yuan Xing could not be curious in his patience. He stood up and used his light skills to come to the place where Jin Chan said, and indeed dug out a wooden box. He hurried back to the room and opened the wooden box with the faint light of the oil lamp. Inside was a scroll and a booklet. Expand the scroll, and there was a portrait of a Buddha he had never seen before. If he couldn't understand it, he put it aside first. He picked up the booklet, which recorded a special Buddhist mantra. He needed to recite this mantra in his mind and then visualize the portrait to practice supernatural powers. There were also notes from the experiences of practitioners of all generations. It seemed that if you wanted to learn the supernatural powers mentioned by Jin Chan, you were indispensable.
Speaking of going home, he thought of his parents whom he had not seen for many years, and he was a little anxious. In recent days, he has not even practiced martial arts. He sat in the room all day long. Senior brother and others thought he was practicing internal skills and did not dare to disturb him. Unfortunately, he didn't know whether he was dull or lacked his skills, but he did not make any progress. He called Jin Cicada in his heart, and the other party had no response. If the portrait was not still there, he would have thought that what had happened before was his own illusion.
After these few days, Yuan Xing finally let go of his impatience and returned to his previous routine. Since his supernatural powers cannot be cultivated overnight, why not wait?
So the question is, since there is really a Buddha, should we keep the precepts?
On the following day, everyone in the temple was surprised to find that the carefree life, which was a bit careless, was as careful as a person who had changed his life. He was so pious that he worshiped Buddha and recited scriptures. He even talked less. He even lowered his eyebrows and looked down and looked humble when he walked. He repented in a moment. The master was very pleased and felt that his disciple really took the precepts to heart and worked hard to practice. Only the other people were made unadapted. Cough! Yes, the fate was cowardly!
After more than half a month passed in this way, the magical powers still made no progress. The usual practice of this afternoon was to visualize time. Yuan Xing sat cross-legged at the portrait for a moment, and suddenly slapped his head suddenly. This life is really not something that humans can live. Forget it, do whatever you want! You can't pretend anymore. Well, just be careful on weekdays.
I don’t know if it’s because of relaxing my heart, but the subsequent visualization felt a different feeling. He only felt a heat flowing into his eyes, and then it went dark before his eyes. He floated in a dark space in a blink of an eye, and a huge golden Buddha in front of him was emitting a soft light.
"What is Buddha? What is Dharma? Who are you..." The voice was loud but not shocking. It was emitted from the Buddha statue in front of me, but it seemed to be everywhere.
