Chapter 19 The Trap

Based on the chaotic management system and the overt and covert struggles among major companies, the underground forces in Night City have flourished in the past few years, especially after the Red Sun incident, which reached a peak.

Unlike the Tiger Claw Gang, which is composed entirely of neon descendants, the Violent Bear Gang welcomes everyone and is open to anyone, but those who can truly make it into the core circle are muscle monsters in the true sense.

Contrary to their external image, the Brutal Bear Gang is one of the few technical gangs among Night City gangs. They control the synthesis methods of at least five addictive compounds and have a complete production line.

Although it is difficult to compare with the products of giants like Bliss Pharmaceuticals, the low price and sufficient supply still allow the Bull Bear Gang to successfully occupy the bottom market of Night City.

They also have high-end products, a highly effective hormone drug that can significantly accelerate the synthesis of muscle fibers. The side effects are unknown, and many well-known athletes use it secretly.

At the same time, that thing is also a must-have 'secret medicine' in all major gyms, specifically for those enthusiasts who pursue dimension and strength.

The two Hengha generals outside the door are undoubtedly experienced users in this field. They are so muscular that they seem to be able to control the heavy firepower in their hands without the need for exoskeletons.

Driven by a micro motor, the 1,200-round ammunition supply box continuously provided fire support to the user, and almost one layer of the building's outer wall was cut off.

Fortunately, there are no residents on the first floor of this building, and members of the trauma team are setting up simple booby traps along the doorways and windows.

They obviously had snipers outside. Tang Ji saw that the approaching Firemen of the Storm Bear Gang had their exoskeleton hydraulic cylinders broken one after another and stopped on the road.

"We were suppressed by enemy fire and requested drone support. We suspected that the enemy was preparing an attack plan." The commander contacted his superiors again.

A few seconds later, the commander suddenly ran to Tang Ji: "Those madmen drove two bulldozers! We must leave here immediately!"

"Tell me, who is putting a bounty on me?" Tang Ji pushed away the commander of the trauma team. The attack tonight was too fierce, and the intensity far exceeded a mere 5 million.

If the Tiger Claw Gang fought tooth and nail for the financial backers, Tang Ji could understand, but the Violent Bear Gang was completely beyond his expectation.

The last time the Bull Bear Gang staged such a big battle was to snatch the Taiping District construction contract from the Night City Construction Group, which resulted in hundreds of millions of profits.

What about this time? Just for the five million on Tang Ji and the remains of Losas, whose symbolic significance is greater than its actual significance?

Research on superhuman beings has been going on for several years, but few have actually achieved results. Even an internationally renowned biotechnology company like Lazarus has just started in this field and has not seen any improvement.

Is it Losas?

The first suspect Tang Ji identified was the Losas organization. Maybe they finally found out that one of their members had been killed?

Tang Ji would not be surprised if the Violent Bear Gang and the Losas organization reached some kind of cooperation.

The core circle of the Violent Bear Gang is filled with the atmosphere of worshiping individual strength. They would rather put their internal organs to bear fatal loads to make themselves bigger and more powerful.

The emergence of superhuman beings is simply the guiding light of the Violent Bear Gang, and their current leader is a flesh-enhanced superhuman.

"I don't know, we are only responsible for sending you to the Lhasa Road Laboratory." The commander shook his head and continued to push Tang Ji: "Team A will stay to stop the enemy, and Team B will work with me to protect the target and park the car underground.

Leave the field!"

Tang Ji glanced at the commander, who had a firm attitude, which made him curious...

How much did Lazarus spend to hire such a rescue team?

...

There was no one in the underground parking lot, and fierce gunfire rang out again upstairs. It sounded like Team A, who was in charge of the rear, had already started its mission.

Then there was a roar, and Tang Ji could even feel the floor under his feet shaking.

The forklift of the Storm Bear Gang crashed in.

Then there was another loud noise, which may have cut off the power supply of the building, and the underground parking lot was suddenly dark for a year.

Several members of the trauma team had a soft light on their helmets, apparently entering night mode.

They surrounded Tang Ji and the commander in the middle, two in front and two in the back, and advanced silently.

"Our helmets have night vision function, I'll hold you up." The commander tightened his grip on his arm: "The front continues downward, and the exit is on the fourth floor."

"Are you familiar with the terrain here?" Tang Ji moved in the darkness, adjusting the position of his weapon while talking.

Not only did he bring his revolver, but he also deliberately took the katana left by Hiroyuki Sanada.

"I've seen the structural drawings here." The commander was cautiously alert, fearing that attackers might emerge from the darkness: "Not just here, I've seen the structural drawings of all the buildings with multiple exits and commanding heights in the entire street."

"How much did Lazarus spend on this rescue operation?" Tang Ji was a little curious: "Also, how did you know that I was stuck here?"

He was really curious, but he didn't hesitate to quietly hold the handle of the knife with his fingers.

"We tracked your mobile phone and it's easy to find you." The commander quickened his pace slightly: "As for the money, we don't care, that's the sales department's business, we just..."

Tang Ji suddenly raised his sword and slashed along the gap on the commander's neck. This sword was taught to him by Hiroyuki Sanada.

The protected person's sudden attack made the remaining four members of the trauma team look at each other, unable to react for a moment.

But Tang Ji didn't hesitate at all. He slid the sword straight away, and before the commander's body fell to the ground, the katana slashed at another team member.

At the same time, Tang Ji took out his revolver from behind and fired a shot in the direction of the members of the rear team in his memory.

The crisp prelude of gunshots echoed in the parking garage, and what's even more surprising is...

A weak layer of fluorescence appeared on the body surface of the team member who was shot, blocking the bullet.

Losas!

A smile appeared on Tang Ji's lips, and he knew there was a problem!

The other party had calculated everything, but failed to realize that Tang Ji was familiar with every building and road in this city.

There is indeed an exit to the underground parking lot of this building, but it is on the second floor, not the fourth floor. There is no fourth floor here!

Tang Ji's attack was quickly replaced by a feint. He rolled on the spot, picked up the commander's head, and disappeared behind the car.

He needs night vision goggles on his helmet.

Next, it's time to escape.

Tang Ji no longer wanted to trade his life with others. He suddenly realized that Losas's reaction was much greater than he thought. What did this prove?

There is something about him that scares them.
