Chapter 22 Knights slaying

In the backyard of the grocery store, there were many corpses of ghouls lying in random directions, all of them chopped to pieces by Downton.

Mince-like mincemeat and blood stains were everywhere, and coupled with the stench that filled the air, it was like a slaughterhouse.

"Is it too dangerous?" Celes was worried about Downton's safety, "Should we kill these ordinary ones? It doesn't take much effort anyway."

Celes has no experience in distinguishing the enemy's strength, but it doesn't matter. She can just hold the grimoire and Homer will tell her everything.

"Too slow!" Downton took a rag and wiped it on the armor randomly, wiping off the blood. "Aren't you tired of killing these trash fish?"

These ordinary ghouls have not yet grown soul seals in their heads and cannot absorb magic energy. They are not even the lowest level and are completely weak.

With Downton's current strength, he can easily cut down a dozen of them, one on one, and there is really no pressure.

"Indeed, they are too scumbag and do not pose a threat at all. Only in life-and-death fights where death is possible at any time, the magic users dare not slack off and devote themselves wholeheartedly to the battle, thereby honing their strong combat power."

Homer was actually fed up with it a long time ago. He just wanted Downton to take the initiative and see if he had a fearless heart.

Facts have proved that the new master is very courageous. Less than a day after becoming a magic user, he has to challenge a powerful enemy.

"Inevitably, even the goblins dare to wave their battle axes against the giant dragon in the greenhouse!" Downton was talking about a proverb from the Western Continent, "Don't forget that I still have number two!"

No. 2 seemed to feel that the owner was talking about it, and looked over, but the face with rotten skin felt terrifying no matter how he looked at it.

Celes attracted the ghouls, and Downton started with a confession of the undead. If it didn't succeed, he would kill it again.

The failure rate is still frighteningly high, but the numbers cannot make up for it. After the car overturned more than 60 ghouls, I finally found one again.

Downton named the skinny ghoul No. 2, found suitable armor from the weapons store, and put it on him.

"What are you doing?" Celes saw that Downton actually threw away the Dragon Fang, holding a shield in his left hand and picking up a Roman dagger in his right hand.

"I can't rely on the special effects of giant power that can be used once every ten minutes to fight for the rest of my life, right? My own martial arts is the most trustworthy!"

"Get ready!" Homer is very satisfied with Downton's choice. If he is addicted to powerful magic equipment, he will eventually become their puppet.

The Death Banshee obediently held the grimoire to her chest and floated away.

On the streets, ghouls were wandering around, completely ignoring Celes, allowing her to easily approach a low-level ghoul.

Homer released Magic Detection, and a faint blue rune suddenly appeared on the ghoul's head and disappeared in an instant.

"That's it, soul level one." Homer reminded, "Don't throw away the corrosion spell this time, use the phosphorus fire arrow, and run away after releasing it."

"Hmm!" Celes was extremely nervous, and her spell-casting gestures were slightly out of shape. Fortunately, she was singing with her soul, otherwise she would definitely have mispronunciation.

"Calm down, it can't catch up with you!" Homer entered the mentor state again, correcting every mistake Celes made.

Although the Shadow Arrow is powerful, it consumes too much magic energy, has complicated spells, and takes a long time to cast. Homer didn't like it at all, so he taught Celes the Phosphorus Fire Arrow.

In comparison, although the phosphorus fire arrows are less powerful, they are faster. The time it takes to release a shadow arrow is enough to blast three phosphorus fire arrows. If they all hit, the total damage will be more than double.

"Although low-level ghouls have no intelligence, they have survival instincts. At your level, it is entirely possible for them to dodge the shadow arrows, and you will suffer a big loss. If you switch to phosphorus fire arrows, in the same time, you

You have three chances to attack, and as long as you hit one, you have an advantage."

"If you hit first, the enemy will usually be at least nervous for a moment. This is pressure. As long as this pressure is maintained, the enemy will collapse sooner or later."

"Keep calm. Even if you are scared to death, you can show a calm expression on your face. In battle, mentality is very important. A look can even let your opponent know your strength."

Homer projected a large section of text. He was indeed a master of combat. He was extremely experienced. This kind of teaching was enough for any apprentice to benefit from it in the future.

A ball of white phosphorus fire appeared in front of Celes, burning and stretching, forming an arrow half a meter long, whistling, and shooting towards the ghoul.

The low-level ghoul sensed the danger and instinctively twisted his neck. Unfortunately, Celes was too nervous and her accuracy was poor, so she missed the target.

Boom, the phosphorus fire arrow hit the bluestone pavement, exploding a small coconut-like crater.

Roaring, the ghoul squeezed out a hoarse threat from his throat, and pounced on Celes like a mad dog.

"Idiot, don't run away, keep attacking." Homer quickly projected bright red characters, "Calculate the time, it is enough for you to shoot another phosphorus fire arrow, and the closer the distance, the easier it is to hit.

Celes was timid and weak. When she saw the stern tone in Homer's words, she was so aggrieved that she cried. However, she did not dare to run away, so she held on and released the magic.

Boom, the second phosphorus fire arrow was shot, and the ghoul dodged, but the arrow was too fast and hit its right rib, leaving a gap.

"run!"

The huge font rushed out immediately, and Celes turned around and ran away to the grocery store as if she had received an amnesty.

Low-level ghouls are very fast, but they can't keep up with the death banshee who has the gift of levitation. Her posture is as light as the wind and is as perfect as a gorgeous dressage. Even if she can't dance, she can definitely rise to the level.

Empty, this is where Homer's confidence lies.

Celes was so confused by Homer's training, and had never been attacked by a ghoul before, that she had long forgotten that there was such a way to deal with it.

"Downton, it's coming!" Celes rushed into the backyard with tears on her face and shouted anxiously.

After Downton waved his hand and blessed himself with a ray of Hercules' light, he immediately ran towards the door, gradually accelerating.

The iron boots stepped on the ground, making a thump, thump sound.

Downton didn't miss Celes as he passed by, his eyes fixed on the door.

Phew, the ghoul rushed in with a smelly whirlwind.

The two sides approached instantly. Within three meters, Downton could even see the wormholes in the ghoul's teeth.

"Go to hell!"

Downton kicked the ground with his right foot, suddenly erupting, raised his right arm, and held the shield in front of him.

Bang, the ghoul bumped into me.

Downton felt his body shake, and a huge momentum was transmitted from the shield, which shook his chest and made him want to cough.

Downton held his breath, kicked off the ground with his left foot to stop his body from being knocked back, clenched the Roman dagger in his right hand, and slashed at the ghoul.

Giant slaying!

Whoa, infused with magic energy, the dagger immediately shone with a dark red luster, like thunder, slashing towards the ghoul's head.

As expected of a low-level ghoul, he deflected the attack and swung his right claw quickly towards Downton's body.

Zhi...

Downton raised his shield to block, and his claws caught sparks on the metal, making a harsh noise.

"Taunted by giants!"

Downton raised his right foot and stepped hard on the ground. Taking the foothold as the center of the circle, spider web-like cracks appeared on the ground, then collapsed, and rocks flew everywhere.

The ghoul immediately became unstable, lost his balance, and his second claw was in vain.

Number 2 finally ran over and slapped his claws on the ghoul's body, wearing a set of heavy armor, which slowed it down a lot.

Downton once again used Giant Slash. The dagger first cut off one of the ghoul's arms, and then continued to cut off, cutting through the chest and dividing its body into two.

Bang, bang, the ghoul fell to the ground, roaring, but without the ability to move, it no longer posed a danger.

Downton finished his attack and chopped the ghoul's skull into pieces. Just as he was about to breathe a sigh of relief, an arrow of phosphorus fire grazed his back and shot him, immediately breaking out in a cold sweat.

"Yes, I'm sorry!" Celes knew she had made a mistake and hid behind a rotten tree, with only one eye exposed, looking at Downton timidly.

"It's okay." Looking at the pitiful and pitiful expression of the Death Banshee, Downton didn't dare to get angry, so he had to comfort her quickly.

"You don't need to help, this is Downton's battle." Homer finished teaching Celes and flew to Downton's side, "You have good courage and good grasp of attack opportunities, but are you stupid? You actually fought with Shi who was sprinting with all his strength.

The zombies are competing for strength. Do you want your arm to be broken? Or your internal organs to be injured? If you were knocked away just now, you would be passive in an instant."

The grimoire projects text, but fortunately it can't speak, otherwise Downton would definitely be sprayed with saliva.

"Wearing a suit of armor, like an iron can, you can definitely take a few claw strikes. Why are you so anxious to take action?" Homer pointed out Downton's shortcomings, "And try to stay quiet. Fortunately, this is the backyard of a grocery store.

It's not close to the street, otherwise it will attract other ghouls."

"I know, let's extract the soul remains!" Downton nodded, accepting the lesson with an open mind, "This soul must be worth three or four, right?"

"Six Articles!" Even if the magic book is damaged, it still has the ability to contain soul power, saving Downton the trouble of purchasing soul stones.

"So much? Fortunately, there was no explicit price tag for the soul of a low-level ghoul. Otherwise, I might as well have died."

Downton was very grateful. Even the soul remains of ordinary ghouls contained different soul powers. Homer initially negotiated and chose the smallest one.

"Huh, common people, I am the wise Lord Homer!" Homer was very proud. When we were in the hotel and surrounded by ghouls, we naturally defaulted to pricing based on their soul remains.

"It's a huge profit. If measured according to common standards, these fifteen hundred souls are only equivalent to five hundred. I bought a dragon-slaying magic for such a small amount. I actually thought it was expensive at first." Downton was resting.

Writing and communicating, "That godly lord is indeed honest, no, generous."

"You want to say it's cheap, right?" Homer projected a head of Downton and looked at him with an expression of contempt on his face.

"Keep fighting!" Downton changed the subject, but he was thinking in his heart, how can he get the god to sell one and get one free?
