002. Saint

Cangjie has not appeared in the world for many years. I think back to the time when Fairy Boy Jumang directed Hanbao to Wangwu Mountain, triggering visions in the world and waiting for Cangjie to come and look for him. Unexpectedly, it was the tiger baby who came. This may be fate, but on the other hand, it may also be because of fate.

It shows that even Gou Mang doesn’t know where to find Cangjie.

Cangjie didn't show up when Hougang was hit by a disaster. Cangjie still didn't show up when everyone in the world was hit by a great disaster. It wasn't that he didn't want to pay attention to it, but that he didn't know at all and was creating the world in the boundless and mysterious square. After Cangjie returned to the human world, he

I found that the world has changed, and all the people in the world have been suffering for a long time. Among the four great war gods of China, only the one-armed Lu Zhong is left.

Di Jiang was defeated in a duel with Lu Zhong, and he broke the sky with anger and died. Boyi was tabooed by all the princes, and died in the Longxi Plain after a great battle. Chong Bogun failed to control the water for nine years, and was shattered into pieces as promised.

Emperor Yao and Emperor Xun Chan were located in Chonghua, and Gun's son Yu has now become the minister of water control in China. After Cangjie learned so much about the situation, he immediately found Boyu.

Boyu didn't know Cangjie, but after seeing Cangjie himself, he seemed to have awakened some knowledge or memory inexplicably. He knew who the person suddenly appeared in the air, and immediately saluted and said: "Yu

Meet Mr. Shi Huang!"

Cangjie asked again: "Do you still call me Lord Shi Huang?".

Boyu bowed again and said: "Yu pays homage to the master!"

Cangjie floated down, Shaowu and others were still stunned, but Huwa stepped forward and saluted: "Congratulations, Mr. Cangjie!" What did he congratulate Cangjie for? Of course, he accepted Boyu as his disciple.

Since ancient times, when a master accepted a disciple, he usually had to secretly test his character and character. For people like Cangjie and Boyu, the former would never accept a disciple easily, and the latter would never become a disciple easily. But when they first met and asked and answered, Boyu

So he worshiped at Cangjie's door. Huwa also let out a sigh of relief. Although he had not thought of it beforehand, when this happened, it was exactly what Huwa wanted to see.

In a sense, Huwa and Lu Zhong are both Bo Yu's teachers, but the meaning of teacher here is different from the formal relationship between teachers and teachers. Their roles are more like Bo Yu's protectors, while Bo Yu

Yu should also take as his teachers the great sages and virtues from ancient times.

Huwa's task is to pass on all the knowledge of Chong Bo Gun to Boyu, so that he can inherit Chong Bo Gun's knowledge; and Lu Zhong's task is to recommend Boyu as the minister of water control in China, so that he can succeed Chong Bo Gun.

Gun's ambition.

There are some people in the world who seem to know it from birth. For example, there are immortals who have cultivated in the Nine Realms. Because of their experiences in the cycle of life and death, and because of the magical powers of the immortal family, they seem to see many things they have never seen in this life.

You can recognize him and understand him when you arrive. There is another kind of person, like Boyu, who is born with good luck.

Boyu had never seen Cangjie, but when he saw him, he knew who he was. This came from Chong Bogun's lifelong knowledge. Neither Huwa nor Luzhong had ever taught Boyu how to practice, and people like Yu seemed to be born

Just practice. This does not mean that he will have cultivation out of thin air, but as his state of mind becomes clear, he will have corresponding insights every time he seeks to realize his cultivation.

The so-called knowledge from birth is generally true. It is not that you know everything from birth. Boyu still needs someone to enlighten and guide him, and Yaoji has already enlightened Boyu. If we don’t talk about magical powers and innate blessings,

, when Chong Bogun walked down the Shenmin Hill, he had actually reached the Dacheng state of mind. If he was willing to practice, there would be no obstacles from the initial state to the Dacheng state.

Huwa originally thought that Boyu's opportunity was at Shenmin Hill, but the real opportunity was at the foot of Shenmin Hill. Mr. Cangjie suddenly came. Huwa then thought about it and realized that Cangjie was indeed Bo Yu's best guide, because Bo Yu

What Yu wanted to do was to control the floods in China. If he was proficient in analyzing the situation of mountains and rivers, and the way of analyzing geography, who could be better than Mr. Cangjie?

Cangjie helped Boyu up with a smile and said: "Yu'er, there is no need to be polite. Today you have received the order of Emperor Yan and the order of Shaohao. If your master has not arrived, where do you plan to go next?" Regardless of the status of master and disciple, the Emperor

Yao, Chong Bo Gun, and Cang Jie were all descendants of the same clan. Cang Jie was in charge of the Imperial Seal before Emperor Yao, and he and Boyu were both descendants of Zhuan Xu, so it was appropriate to call Boyu "Yu'er".

Boyu: "Master, I plan to go to Puban, tell the emperor what I want to do, and ask Lord Gaotao for advice."

Boyu had experienced more than 20 years of "water control" on Shenmin Hill, and he knew that it was impossible to accomplish this task with one person's efforts. It was difficult to even recruit people from all ministries to cooperate sincerely. The management plan of the river basin was not only

It was as simple as splitting the Wuyun Mountains, but it involved too many things. Boyu now has a detailed plan.

He wanted to report this detailed plan to the emperor Chonghua, and it could only be implemented after the emperor formally ordered it. But the emperor's order alone was not enough. How could his plan be effectively implemented? He also had to seek advice from virtuous people. The most important thing was

The person is Gao Tao.

Gao Tao was a minister of Emperor Yao. After Chonghua was the emperor, he appointed Gao Liao as a minister. It should be noted that when Chonghua was regent in Puban City before accepting Zen as the emperor, the position he held was that of a minister. After he became the emperor, he became the emperor.

Appointing Gao Tao as the new Lord Si Shi, Gao Liao has obviously been regarded by the heads of various ministries as a candidate for the next emperor.

Gao Tao was a minister and was in charge of the world's criminal and judicial matters, which was equivalent to Ba Guoli Zheng, but Gao Tao's scope of authority far exceeded Li Zheng. He also supervised the behavior of hundreds of officials and punished lawless officials and monarchs on behalf of the emperor.

To arbitrate disputes among all the ministries in the world.

It does not mean that the position of Si Shi represents the candidate for the future emperor, but based on Gaotao's status and prestige, if something unexpected happens to the emperor, he will most likely be the new person elected by the heads of the various ministries to take charge.

After Chong Bo Gun, the person with the highest prestige and the most praise among the various tribes was Gao Tao.

Gao Tao was a saint. In this regard, he was inferior to Chong Bo Gun.

There are hundreds of schools of thought in later generations, and they all have different ways of describing "saints". Emperor Yao and Emperor Shun were revered as saints. However, in today's era when people's wisdom and language are simple, the meaning of saints is still different from that of later generations.

There are different opinions.

It does not refer to the sacred person as people take it for granted, nor does it refer to the sage emperor, nor does it refer to the founders of various sects and the respected ancients. It emphasizes the meaning of "people".

The word "sage" was coined by Cangjie, and Gao Tao was his student. The main inheritance is not the magic power of runes and secret cultivation methods, but the practice of saints. Saints can hear the Tao and understand the truth of heaven and earth; saints can preach and explain the true meaning of worldly affairs.

; A saint is virtuous and can lead others and set an example. It refers to a kind of cultivation that is complete in knowledge and conduct, and has all talents and virtues.

The so-called self-cultivation is not just one's own business as some people understand it. It must be from the inside out and have a real relationship with various things in the world before it can be called complete in knowledge and conduct. Some people are passed down by later generations after they have left the world for many years.

Those who were respected as saints but were called saints while still alive were Gaotao, although the meaning of saints at this time was slightly different from that of later generations.

Gao Tao was a student of Cangjie, and the inheritance he received was the cultivation of saints, so why is it not the learning of saints? Where does learning come from? The predecessors have created the creation, and then the next generation can learn. There is the cultivation of the saint first, and then there is the learning of the saint. And not

Let’s talk about Gao Tao’s personal cultivation. What did he do? Why was he called a saint at that time?

First of all, we need to talk about what the Chinese emperor did when he enthroned various ministries and governed the world, and on what basis? They all unified sacrifices, promulgated calendars, implemented rituals and laws, and formulated covenants recognized by each ministry. The process of formulating covenants is a part of Chinese etiquette.

, this is also regarded as the promotion of education, but where does the form and content of education come from?

The so-called etiquette and law are not completely equivalent to the concepts of etiquette and law in later generations, but it is also a rule of conduct. If you violate this rule, you will be criticized or punished. What kind of punishment or evaluation will be imposed on what kind of behavior?

It also belongs to this kind of rule system. The birth of human social civilization originated from this. Without this kind of rule system, it would be impossible to form a social civilization system.

Coming out of barbarism and ignorance, the origin of what makes people human is here. This is also a process of opening up spiritual wisdom in a broad sense. The role of rules is not only to restrict people's behavior, but more importantly, to ensure an order so that the civilized social system can be more stable.

Good things will continue to exist and develop.

Rules must conform to this inner invisible law, which saints also call Tao. This Tao is the way of humanity, otherwise it will be overturned and changed sooner or later. On the other hand, the collapse of rules also means the collapse of order. Its emergence

After the enlightenment of spiritual wisdom in a broad sense, the process of people's self-awareness is like moving from chaos to clarity.

There were no books in ancient times. The ancestors knotted ropes to record events. Taihao created the Eight Diagrams Talisman, which can be used for counting, describing things, and asking for divination. The so-called asking for divination was originally used to test the past and provide guidance for the future. So how did etiquette come from

It is a summary of the conscious behaviors and social norms of people of all ages. When Taihao founded China, it had formed a relatively complete and simple system.

Later generations of emperors, whether they were the Qing Emperor, the Yan Emperor, or the Yellow Emperor, until the time of Emperor Yao, generally followed a simple principle. For example, when something happened, the emperors should be summoned to discuss how to deal with it. The basis for the treatment often came from

The handling experience that is universally recognized by the wise kings in ancient times.

For example, when Xuanyuan was the emperor, something happened and how Xuanyuan handled it. When Zhuanxu was the emperor, something similar happened again. Then we should follow the same handling principle, or use it as a reference and make slight changes according to the actual situation.

.So what about something that has never been encountered before? Then Emperor Zhuanxu and the heads of various ministries discussed a method of handling it, and this method of handling became the principle that later generations would refer to.

Emperor Zhuanxu dealt with such a matter, and when it happened again when Emperor Yao was the emperor in later generations, you can refer to Emperor Zhuanxu's handling method. Whether this reference is appropriate requires Emperor Yao to discuss it with the heads of various ministries. According to the previous opinions

Judgments were made based on precedents, and the rulers of the dynasty made decisions together. Over time, a system of etiquette and law was formed.

Many, many years later, in later generations, there was a "criteria" system and a "jury" system that were vaguely similar to them. The differences may be huge, and the backgrounds were very different, but there was always something familiar about everything in the world.

.

Etiquette itself is also a kind of inheritance and accumulation. When there are no books or canons, it is passed on orally or through spiritual thoughts and heart seals. It is impossible to promote spiritual thoughts and heart seals. Word-of-mouth transmission will inevitably have errors, and it is even impossible to record it completely and accurately.

By the time of Emperor Yao, this method could no longer meet the needs, and its drawbacks became more and more obvious.

Cangjie coined Chinese characters for writing, and after abdicating his throne as emperor, he was revered as the Shihuang clan, because he also used characters as a carrier to record various historical materials that could be collected since ancient times, and passed these historical materials to the

.

Gao Tao then wrote books and compiled nine canons for China. He compiled and revised the rules of etiquette and law from ancient times, and examined "Taihao's Rules", "Shen Nong's Balance", "Xuanyuan's Rope" and "Shaohao's Rules"

, "Zhuanxu's power" formulated a formal and clear etiquette system based on the needs of the world. It should be noted that Gao Tao's writing was completely different from that of later generations, and the process was extremely arduous.

Later generations all say that Gao Tao wrote the "Prison Code" and set the "Five Punishments". In fact, Gao Tao did much more than that. He formulated a complete set of rules for social operation and a complete system of civilized order. The most well-known one is the "Five Punishments".

"The Five Religions".

The so-called "Five Religions" refer to father's righteousness, mother's kindness, brothers and friends, brother's respect, and son's filial piety. From the perspective of thousands of years later, this is just a moral code of family ethics, but the reason why people can evolve into human beings

These are the fundamentals of society. After many generations of thinking and discovery, Gao Tao made a clear written summary and formulated it as a social code of conduct.

The so-called "Five Punishments" does not only refer to the five punishments of Mo, Xie, Fei, Gong, and Dapi. The real Five Punishments refer to the five systems of armored soldiers, axes and axes, saws, drills, and whips. Armored soldiers are the system for defeating the enemy.

The ax and ax are the methods of governing the army, the sword and saw are the punishment for punishing sins, the drill is the punishment for piercing the sin, and the whip is the punishment for admonishment.

This has become the code of conduct for the entire country and society. Human society takes the family as the basic unit, and criminal orders are based on moral norms. This is the meaning of "five punishments and five religions."

Gao Tao also wrote the "Nine Virtues". The so-called nine virtues refer to being wide and firm, soft and standing, willing and respectful, chaotic and respectful, disturbing and perseverant, straight and gentle, simple and honest, hard and strong, strong and strong.

Righteousness. This is the moral requirement for the emperor and people from all walks of life. For example, "the emperor should have nine virtues", which gives the emperor a clear standard of evaluation when he inspects his subjects and when the subjects evaluate the emperor's conduct.

Although the evaluation standards for character have existed since ancient times, Gao Tao made a clear summary. Does the emperor have to have all nine virtues? Of course not! In fact, the vast majority of emperors cannot meet this requirement, but there are evaluation standards.

, the subjects and future generations also know where the emperor lost power and lost his virtue.

In addition to "Five Punishments", "Five Religions" and "Nine Virtues", Gao Tao also wrote "Five Rites", which are auspicious rituals, unlucky rituals, guest rituals, military rituals, and gala rituals, covering everything from sacrifices, alliances to food, men and women, etc.

Various written etiquette norms.

How does the emperor govern the world? It was a tribal society at that time, and local governance was based on the clan system. Gao Tao also wrote the "Five Services" and "Nine Tribes". The Five Services refers to the central government and the heads of various ministries represented by the emperor.

It represents the relationship between places, while the Nine Tribes determine the blood relationships within the tribe as well as the division of interests and responsibilities.

Gao Tao was actually older than Chonghua. When Emperor Yao was in power, he started this work, consulted with talented elders, and visited the heads of various ministries in the world to discuss. After Chonghua became the emperor, he appointed Gao Tao

Tao was appointed as the official, and ordered him to compile all the Nine Codes as soon as possible, and then issue them to all the ministries in the world in the name of the emperor.

When Gao Tao compiled the Nine Canons, he did not just compile it behind closed doors at home with the historical materials passed down to him by Cangjie. Everyone already knew what he wanted to do and what he was doing, and he had worked hard for it for many years. The contents of it,

Gaotao had long had various discussions with the heads of various tribes, sages and even ordinary people, and listened to the opinions of all parties in order to solve practical problems.

The world respects Gao Tao and respects him as a saint. In later generations, various schools of thought often had disputes over education, but they all said that "sages preached education", and education indeed came from saints.

Boyu answered Cangjie's question and said that he had planned to ask Gao Tao for advice. Cangjie nodded and said, "It seems that even if you haven't arrived as a teacher, you don't have to worry about whether you are qualified or not. Since you have to go to Puban first, then you can do it wisely."

Let’s go with my teacher.” (To be continued.)
