Chapter 124 Lockharts Donation

As a fairy tale, "The Tales of Beedle the Poet" is an enlightening bedtime reading for children who come from wizarding families.

Its status is basically equivalent to "Andersen's Fairy Tales" and "One Thousand and One Nights" among Muggles.

Rolf had read this book carefully because of the story of the three brothers, so he was no stranger to the Fountain of Good Luck.

The Fountain of Good Luck is located on a high hill in a magical garden, surrounded by high walls and protected by powerful magic.

According to legend, between sunrise and sunset on the longest day of the year, if someone can overcome various obstacles to reach the Good Luck Spring and take a bath in the water, he will receive eternal good luck.

The poet Beedle tells the story of a knight and three witches entering a magical garden, going through numerous trials and tribulations, and finally finding the fountain of good luck.

"It's not just the spring water," Myrcella said calmly, "According to records, the herbs growing in that garden can also cure all curses and diseases."

Luofu raised his eyebrows at Myrcella and asked, "Do you want to find that island and cure the gray scale disease on your body?"

"That's right."

"But how do you find it? Who knows where the island is." Luofu asked curiously.

Myrcella hesitated for a moment, but still spoke frankly and told a secret:

"There are many murals from ancient times in our tribe, all of which depict the island and the Fountain of Good Luck. Those can be counted as half of the map."

It's not that she has no city and tells everything outside, but that her family has been searching for the island for thousands of years... and they are not afraid of outsiders knowing about it!

You can find it if you have the ability!

It just so happens that I can take them to the island as a mermaid.

Moreover, Luo Fu once again revealed that there was a curse on her body. This was a secret that no outsider could possibly know. On the contrary, Myrcella felt that it would be better to be honest, as she might have a chance to be cured.

"Actually, according to our family's ancient legend, the island where my ancestors lived guarded the Fountain of Good Luck." Myrcella sighed softly:

"But later, for some unknown reason, they left the island and finally traveled all the way across mountains and rivers to settle in the Aegean Sea."

Luofu frowned and chewed on Myrcella's words carefully.

In fact, in the eyes of ordinary people, "The Tales of Beedle the Poet" is just a collection of fairy tales. Its contents are moral stories with symbolic elements, and the purpose is to instill some ideas in children.

For example, the confrontation between good and evil, and honesty and trustworthiness.

But since the stories of the three brothers are all true, who can be sure that the Fountain of Good Luck is pure fiction and imagination?

It can't be that "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" is not actually a fairy tale, but a realistic history book, right?

Luofu suddenly thought about it and became very frightened.

"In order to cure the curse, our family will have mermaids go out every once in a while to look for the fountain of good luck." Myrcella sighed, her tone full of sadness:

"It's just that for thousands of years, no mermaid has ever been able to find that island."

"Is that island in the UK?" Rove asked curiously.

"No." Myrcella shook her head: "According to the description, it should be somewhere in the North Sea."

"Beihai?" Luo Fu asked in confusion: "Then why did you come to Black Lake?"

"A thousand years ago, Gryffindor once visited our clan and took away some things." Myrcella said softly: "I want to come here to see if there are any clues... to try my luck."

Rolf raised his eyebrows. Dumbledore did indeed mention that Gryffindor had been to the mermaid tribe.

The goal of Gryffindor and the principal is not the island with the fountain of good luck, right?

"Have you seen any mermaid symbols at Hogwarts?" Myrcella asked.

Rolf thought for a long time, shook his head and said: "Except for the mermaid in the Black Lake, I haven't seen any signs related to mermaids in Hogwarts."

"But I will help you keep an eye on it." Luofu raised his head slightly, looked at the poor mermaid girl, and said with clear eyes:

"As for your condition, I will tell my grandfather to see if he can do anything."

"Thank you, Scamander." Myrcella looked deeply at the young man and said, "If you go to Greece someday, I invite you to visit our clan."

The two chatted for a while, and Myrcella's body was submerged in the lake, like a fish swimming toward the bottom of the lake.

Luo Fu stood on the boat, watching the girl's retreating figure, and remained silent.

He fell back and lay on the boat, supporting his head with one hand and staring at the sky.

The young man rubbed his eyebrows and suddenly realized that he seemed to have more and more things to do.

According to the agreement, after Myrcella is cured, Merkus will put Professor Lockhart back.

She did keep her promise. Not long after Myrcella left, several mermaids escorted Lockhart to the water.

Lockhart was squeezed dry and was extremely thin. He was wet all over and climbed onto the boat tremblingly, urging: "Come on...Rolf...hurry back to the castle."

Luo Fe did not start immediately, but said softly: "Professor, your wife seems to have something to say."

An ugly female fish floated on the water. She had a big belly and said in a hoarse voice: "Gilderoy, you must come and see me more and see our children."

Professor Lockhart, who had been at the bottom of the lake for two months, was already married and had a mermaid wife who was five months pregnant.

Fortunately... the mermaid is pregnant and needs to stay at the bottom of the lake to raise her fetus, so she won't go to Hogwarts for the time being.

The boat sailed towards the shore, and Luofu congratulated:

"Professor, you have already had a successful career, but I didn't expect that now you are married and have a child... you have a happy family. You are truly a winner in life."

Win over your sister... If Lockhart wasn't afraid of falling into the water and being caught by the mermaid again, he would have wanted to sink into the lake and drown himself!

"Rolf, it's not what you think, she and I..." Lockhart stammered.

"It's true love, I know it!" Rolf patted Lockhart on the shoulder and interrupted: "It's okay, Professor, it's not uncommon for mermaids and wizards to marry. No one will look at you differently."

It is indeed not uncommon for mermaids and wizards to marry, but the prerequisite is that they look like a mermaid like Myrcella, not a mermaid like the Black Lake.

The gap here is quite big.

"Rolf, please don't tell anyone what happened today, especially don't let Snape know about it."

Given Snape's ill will towards him, if he knew about it, the whole school would probably know about it the next day, and it would be on the front page of the Daily Prophet the next day.

"Lockhart and the Black Lake Mermaid Marry"... This is simply a violent house collapse. Let his fans know what to do?

Lockhart also wants to marry Madame Chabini. If word gets out that he has a pregnant mermaid wife, then that will be okay.

"I'm afraid..." Luo Fe was a little confused: "Professor, you know me. I am an honest student and never lie."

Lockhart gritted his teeth. He had lost his wand, otherwise he would have to give this kid an Oblivion Charm.

Lockhart decided to stabilize Scamander first and then erase his memory later. He lowered his voice and said:

"Rolph, there is a key to the vault in my office. There are a lot of galleons stored there. You can take it with you when you return to the castle...don't tell anyone...please."

"Isn't this good?"

"There's nothing wrong with it." Lockhart endured the heartache and waved his hand: "This is a donation to Mr. Newt Scamander. It can also be regarded as my contribution to the cause of magical animal protection!"

"I didn't expect you to have such noble sentiments." Luo Fu felt ashamed and was very 'touched' and said:

"I feel for the penguins in Antarctica who have lost their homes due to melting glaciers... thank you!"

"..."

"By the way, where is Dumbledore?" Lockhart asked strangely: "He didn't come to pick me up?"

"Professor Dumbledore has been temporarily removed from his post by the school board."

"Is the school already so dangerous?" Lockhart looked stunned.

He suddenly felt that he might as well continue to lie at the bottom of the Black Lake. Although he would be squeezed by the ugly mermaid, it would be the same if he turned off the lights... It would be safer that way.
