Chapter 51 I believe in you like I believe the sun will rise from the east!

Dumbledore stood alone in the room. He opened the trap door and raised his wand. A slightly swaying fireball popped out from the tip of the wand and fell downwards.

Soon, the firelight illuminated the bottom, and the old man squinted his eyes. He found that not only Hagrid's Luwei was missing, but also the Devil's Net was missing a lot.

There were hurried footsteps behind him. Dumbledore did not turn around and said softly: "Professor McGonagall, have you sent Potter and Weasley back to the Gryffindor lounge?"

"Yes, they both begged me all the way not to deduct points from Gryffindor." Professor McGonagall, who arrived in the restricted area, said angrily: "If you are so afraid of deducting points, why do you go out for a night out?!"

Dumbledore closed the trap door and explained: "Actually, it was Malfoy who invited Potter to come out for a duel tonight."

Hearing that Harry and Ron did not go out for a night outing to cause damage to the trophy room, this made Professor McGonagall's anger a little relieved.

"But Miss Granger warned Potter and Weasley that this was a scam, but they didn't believe it." Dumbledore added.

Professor McGonagall's blood pressure suddenly rose again, she pursed her lips and said:

"That would be even more unforgivable. Stupidity and stubbornness are not synonymous with Gryffindor!"

"You didn't see the teasing expression on Professor Snape's face when he just found me. I didn't dare to look into his eyes." Professor McGonagall said a little annoyed:

"The last time I was so embarrassed was when the Gryffindor Quidditch team defeated Slytherin last semester. I didn't dare say hello to Snape for several weeks..."

When Dumbledore heard this, he twitched his lips and said helplessly: "Professor Snape's frankness can indeed make people blush sometimes. I have reminded him many times."

"Frank?!" Professor McGonagall seemed to hear the incredible description, and she snorted coldly: "Professor Dumbledore, has anyone told you?"

"What?"

"You have a characteristic that you can always describe other people's shortcomings as... advantages."

"Oh, really? It's strange, this is the first time I heard such a comment." Dumbledore raised his eyebrows, as if he was very surprised: "Minerva, I thought you were complimenting me."

"Then my wording must have been inappropriate and caused you to misunderstand." Mag raised his lips and said, "I apologize to you."

"It doesn't matter." Dumbledore smiled gently: "Minerva, I didn't expect you to be as frank as Professor Snape."

"..."

The old man smiled and said: "You don't have to be too harsh on Harry and Ron. It's normal for young people to make mistakes. They are impulsive and ignorant. Communicate with them more and don't make the students too afraid of you."

"Afraid? Why are they afraid of me?" Professor McGonagall was a little surprised. She frowned habitually and said, "I've always been very kind."

Dumbledore glanced at Professor McGonagall.

She blushed and whispered: "Most of the time.

Professor McGonagall took the initiative to change the topic. She looked around and said, "Where's Hagrid's three-headed dog? Is it called Luffy?"

"Lu Wei." Professor Dumbledore blinked and said concisely: "It was lost. It was taken away."

"Ah, lost?" Professor McGonagall was so surprised that she could hardly speak. Her spectacle lenses shone with shock and she said in disbelief:

"Even I can't deal with that three-headed dog that easily. How could it be lost so silently?"

There were no traces of a fight in the room. To be able to take away a ferocious three-headed vicious dog so easily... What kind of wizard does this have to be?!

"Is it the wizard you have been wary of lately?!" she guessed.

"No, Professor McGonagall, it was done by a young wizard, a first-year student." Dumbledore shook his head and said softly: "The portraits in the castle told me."

"The only question is, how did they take Lu Wei away without a trace?"

Dumbledore stood and slowly took a few steps forward. He squinted his eyes and leaned over to examine the ground. He saw a few drops of solidified traces at the door.

The traces were almost invisible, and even the color was dim and consistent with the ground. He stretched out his fingertips to touch the solidified powder, sniffed it, and said instantly: "I think I already know."

"What?"

"The shrinking potion is an effective and smart way to deal with large magical animals." Dumbledore praised.

"It couldn't have been Scamander, right?" Professor McGonagall thought for a moment before focusing on the suspect.

"Why do you think it's him?"

"The first-year little wizard also has a special interest in cats...ahem, animals!" Professor McGonagall said after holding back for a long time: "As far as I have observed recently, Scamander has always been very bold!!"

"In fact, not only Rove, but also three students are traveling with him tonight," Dumbledore said.

"There can't be any more Swinton and Miss Granger, right?" Professor McGonagall frowned and said, "They always get together."

"And Mr. Longbottom," Dumbledore added.

After getting the confirmation, Professor McGonagall's expression changed again and again, as if the cabbage she had worked so hard to grow was about to be overtaken by the Tebbo warthog in the Forbidden Forest.

"Shirley and Hermione are both my favorite students. Hermione is very much like me when I was young. Shirley has an outstanding talent for transfiguration..."

"Same as Tonks?" Dumbledore narrowed his eyes.

"More attentive than Tonks!" Professor McGonagall said with satisfaction.

"Don't worry, Rolf won't bring them down. Good students can always promote each other and work in a better direction together." Dumbledore seemed to have great confidence in the young man. He said softly:

"Of course, I will also remind Luo Fu and get Lu Wei back by the way. He still has to continue to guard this place."

When mentioning the three-headed dog Fluffy, Professor McGonagall hesitated for a moment and persuaded:

"Professor Dumbledore, even a first-year wizard can easily defeat Lu Wei, and other levels are not too difficult. Isn't it too hasty to put the Sorcerer's Stone underneath?"

"Minerva, I'm very grateful that you used the word 'hasty'." Dumbledore said with a smile: "I thought you would be as frank as Professor Snape and directly call me a fool."

"Of course you are not an idiot, you are the greatest wizard in the world." Professor McGonagall said excitedly:

"Everything you do must have its own profound meaning. I am willing to believe in you, just like I believe that the sun will rise from the east."

"Moreover, there are a group of wizards who trust you just like me."

Dumbledore seemed very moved. He turned around, gently wiped his eyes behind the lenses with a lace handkerchief, and said softly:

"I just hope I don't betray your trust."
