Chapter 270: Bewitching

While Rengar was struggling with how to use the fragments of the Holy Stone, Lucian had already finished observing the surrounding environment.

He pointed to the east and asked, "Rengar, where did those undead appear from?"

Rengar followed Lucian's direction and looked.

He nodded: "That's over there! I found some unscarred beast corpses, including some cubs, which didn't look like they would die naturally. I was curious, so I tracked them here."

Recalling the bad experience just now, Rengar couldn't help but let out a low-pitched roar again.

“I thought I could enjoy another hunt, but I didn’t expect it!”

He grinded his sharp teeth and growled angrily: "I didn't expect that! That became my second humiliation in this life!"

"It's because you don't understand the specialness of the undead."

Lucian comforted him: "Besides, there are no weapons to restrain the undead. Don't think too much about it. You can take revenge in the future."

"Um!"

Rengar responded dully.

"Are you okay?"

Lucian asked with concern and said, "It's time for us to set off."

"No problem!" Rengar responded immediately: "My recovery speed is very fast!"

"Then let's go."

Lucian didn't say anything more. He respected Rengar's choice.

He took the first step and followed the faint breath left by those ghosts to the east.

Rengar followed immediately.

Not far away, he found some slender canes.

As a hunter who lives in the forest all year round, Rengar knows that the vine is very tough.

He immediately collected some and tied the small fragment of the holy stone to the middle finger of his right hand with a cane.

He flexed his middle finger and grinned as he looked at the fragments of the holy stone that looked like fingernails.

This is all we can do for the time being...

The two of them then followed the trail together.

Half an hour later, Lucian, who was rushing at the front, suddenly stopped!

"This feeling..."

He raised his guns solemnly!

The muzzle of the gun was pointed at the jungle on the right front, and Lucian shouted loudly: "Is it you? Thresh! I found your disgusting breath!!"

"Ah... look..."

Some erratic and illusory sounds sounded, and a joking voice came from the direction where Lucian's gun was pointing.

"Old friend, Sentinel of Light, Lucian."

A figure came out from behind the tree with the sound of chains.

A skull with three knotted horns like braids on its head, and a hammer stone burning with soul fire on its bones, appeared in the sight of Lucian and Rengar.

"Undead!!!"

Rengar roared angrily and immediately wanted to launch a charge!

Lucian quickly raised his arms to stop his companion!

"Don't be impulsive!"

He said urgently: "He is different from ordinary undead! He is very dangerous!"

"No no no..."

Thresh stopped, opened his hands to show off his body, and retorted: "I'm not dangerous, I'm weak."

"Hammer stone!"

Lucian shouted: "When did your style turn into such superficial deception?!"

"I am telling the truth."

Thresh's tone seemed a little gloomy, but the next moment it turned into excitement.

"Lucian."

He said, "How about making a deal with me?"

"Do you think that's possible?!"

Lucian aimed his gun at the opponent again: "Thresh! Stop your self-righteous jokes!"

"No, no, no, Lucian."

Thresh continues to act harmless.

He opened his arms in an unguarded movement and said at the same time: "I really want to make a deal with you."

Seeing what Lucian was about to say, Thresh immediately interrupted.

"Work together to destroy Foego!"

Thresh quickly said these words that stunned Lucian, and then Thresh said in a bewitching tone: "How about it? Do you still want to reject this deal?"

"What do you mean?!" Lucian's tone sounded like he was being teased with anger.

"That's what it means literally."

Thresh said in a sinister tone: "Who the hell is Foego! It was he who blew up Blessed Light Island! And made me look like this!"

Touching the hard bones under the clothes, Thresh continued angrily: "This is not enough! After he was resurrected, he even took away all my collections! Look!"

He brought up the soul lamp with scarce soul fire and showed it to Lucian.

Then Thresh continued to complain: "He forced me to serve him, but he didn't leave me any strength! This is equivalent to sending me to death!"

"Then you really deserve it." Lucian mocked in an indifferent tone.

Thresh didn't pay attention.

He brought up the soul lamp again and showed it: "He ordered me to leave Blessed Light Island and come to the outside world to perform tasks for him, but I could only collect some waste ghosts on the periphery of the island. I hate him! So Lucian, let's..."

"Roar!"

The roar of the beast suddenly came to mind!

Rengar roared with murderous intent: "Are you the mastermind behind those ghosts?!"

Thresh was interrupted and felt angry.

The soul fire in his body suddenly surged.

But as a conspirator, Thresh naturally knows how to see the situation clearly.

Since Rengar and Lucian are together, he cannot offend him in order to achieve his goal.

So Thresh endured his anger.

The soul fire on his body quickly returned to stability, and then Thresh said quietly: "I don't have the strength to restrain those ghosts now. I just gave them instructions to find the target. As for what they do, that is beyond my control."

"He should be telling the truth."

Lucian comforted Rengar beside him: "The distance between them is too far. From what I know about him, he cannot remotely control the actions of the ghost."

"snort!"

Rengar calmed down a little, but he still hated Thresh very much. He snorted and said nothing.

Seeing this, Lucian turned his attention to Thresh again.

He said in a deep voice: "Why should I cooperate with you?! Why don't I kill you when you are at your weakest?!"

"huh huh huh huh……"

Thresh chuckled: "You won't, because I have the only way to defeat Foego!"

"I do not believe."

Lucian's mood did not fluctuate at all. He shook his head slightly: "I also have a way to defeat Foego. I can't believe your scam."

Thresh was slightly stunned.

He didn't know where Lucian's confidence and confidence came from.

But Lucian with this kind of attitude was not what Thresh wanted to see.

In desperation, Thresh had to expose some of his trump cards first.

"You should know, Lucian."

He mentioned the soul lamp in his hand for the third time: "I have taken away the souls of many sentinels of light, so of course I learned a lot from those souls."

"Among them!" Thresh suddenly emphasized: "There is a secret that you, the Sentinels of Light, have long lost! The secret that can truly defeat Foego!"

As soon as these words came out, Lucian's weakness was immediately revealed!

Lucian's sense of belonging to the Sentinel of Light organization was too high, so he couldn't help but curb his hostility and wanted to continue to hear what Thresh had to say...
