Chapter 10 Arrogance

The sound of mechanical operation came from the other side of the portal.

The scene exposed inside the door is a low and cramped corridor.

Constantine looked at his hands in wonder, and then stepped through the portal first.

Kewen followed in and canceled the portal with a wave of his hand.

Stepping onto the support made of metal mesh, Constantine called to the end of the corridor: "Biman!"

A messy workbench was arranged at the end of the corridor. At this time, a thin figure was leaning on the stand and writing something.

The sudden greeting startled the thin figure, and he immediately overreacted and turned his head to look over.

When he found out it was Constantine, the little old man with a stubble on his face breathed a sigh of relief.

"God, John, you scared me!"

The little old man named Beaman stood up from his chair and asked in surprise: "John, why are you here?"

"Father Hannessy is dead! My client was kidnapped in front of me!"

Constantine said with hatred: "Now I've got him by the tail! So I need some help!"

"No, no problem!"

Beeman nodded quickly: "What do you need?"

"uh-huh!"

Kewen made a sound and stepped past Constantine, who looked surprised.

He came to the little old man Biman, put on an expression of bitterness and hatred, and said in a low voice: "Guns! A lot of guns!"

The atmosphere is silent.

Biman looked at Constantine a little helplessly.

Constantine rolled his eyes in disgust and said disdainfully: "Ignore him, extraordinary people are all crazy."

"Uh..." Biman was a little funny: "John, you are also a member of the extraordinary."

"No." Constantine shook his head: "I'm just a human being. My abilities all rely on knowledge, which is essentially different from these guys with superpowers."

"Hey..." Ke Wen's voice appeared.

He was a little uninterested and disappointed that no one could understand his story.

Constantine still ignored Coven, and he said to Biman: "I need something to deal with demons! The more powerful the better!"

Biman was stunned: "Didn't I give you the 'Dragon Breath Cannon' before? That is already the most powerful thing I have here."

"Not enough!" Constantine said with a gloomy face: "We need more! Give me all the things you have here that can deal with demons!"

"God!" Beeman whispered, "John! What are you going to deal with?"

Constantine opened his mouth. He chose to conceal it, so he said perfunctorily: "I know they are not good for you! The priest has been implicated and lost his life. I don't want your only remaining friend to have the same thing happen to him!"

"Believe me! I can handle it!" Constantine patted Biman on the shoulder: "Go and sort it out."

Biman hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

He turned around and walked towards the religious items that filled the workbench and quickly selected them.

Constantine sighed silently, then took out his mobile phone and made a call.

"Chaz."

Constantine told his apprentice and driver: "Go to the door of the midnight bar and wait for me immediately!"

"Okay sir!" the young apprentice's excited voice sounded.

"Don't do unnecessary things!"

Constantine warned and then hung up the phone.

"Midnight bar." Coven asked: "Is it the bar that entertains all extraordinary creatures equally?"

"You haven't been there?"

Constantine said in surprise: "Are you new to this city?"

"Yeah." Ke Wen nodded: "I've only been here less than a week."

Constantine suddenly realized: "No wonder I haven't heard of you. Yes, it's that bar. We need to go there to find something that can deal with the gods."

Kewen nodded.

Soon after, Beaman put a bunch of things on the workbench.

He said to Constantine: "John, that's all, the holy water, the shroud, the broken blade of a Templar, the stockings of a cardinal, and this!"

Biman gritted his teeth and took out a small cross from his arms. He said reluctantly: "This is the cross I asked for from the Vatican. Please take it with you!"

Constantine was a little moved. He shook his head and pushed the cross back: "You can keep it for self-defense. These are enough."

"about……"

"Biman!"

Constantine interrupted, looking into Beaman's eyes and shaking his head.

Seeing this, Biman had no choice but to stuff the cross back into his arms.

Constantine raised his hand and patted Biman's shoulder again with pleasure. Then he found a piece of cloth and wrapped all the things Biman had prepared together.

Then he looked at Ke Wen, who was looking at all the religious items: "Give me a hand and use your portal again."

Coven withdrew his attention, nodded his head, and put his hand on Constantine's shoulder.

Constantine took a deep breath, then raised his arms to draw circles in front of him, and imagined his next destination.

"John, what are you..."

Biman was puzzled and didn't understand what Constantine was doing.

Constantine, whose attention was interrupted by the sound, sighed and simply explained: "I'm using magic, Biman, don't interrupt me."

After saying that, he refocused on drawing circles, and after a while, he successfully opened the portal again.

"who?!"

The portal opened in an office and was instantly noticed by the person opposite.

"it's me."

Constantine stepped through the portal, letting the people on the opposite side see his figure.

"It's you?!"

A black man who couldn't hide his pride said in surprise: "You actually used magic?! Didn't you say..."

"Yes, there is a price to pay for using magic."

Constantine nodded and took up the conversation. He pointed his thumb back over his shoulder: "But this is not my magic. Even if there is a price, this person will pay it."

"It seems that you introduced me to a member."

The black man looked at Covin who was closing the portal, and he said coaxingly: "I know all the demigods and half-demon, wizards, mystics, and mages in this city, and I know who they are, and you

The black man said in a superior tone: "There have been rumors in the past two days that a mage who doesn't understand the rules has sneaked into the city. Is that you?"

"Boy!" the black man threatened in a deep voice: "I'm giving you a warning. In my territory, everything must be done according to the rules!"

He raised his hand and gestured with his eyes, then pointed at Kewen: "Don't let me know you broke the rules!"

Ke Wen looked at the other person, and then asked Constantine: "Can I kill him?"

"cannot!"

Constantine responded with a headache: "Without Minai, without this bar, the whole city will fall into chaos."

"What a loud tone!"

The black man Minai sneered absurdly. He looked at Constantine: "John, finding a mage seems to have given you a lot of confidence? Also, what are you doing here?"

"Minai, I need to use that chair!"

Constantine said seriously: "I want to use that chair for channeling and find my kidnapped client! Also, I need something that can deal with gods!"

"I think you are crazy!"

Minai raised her voice and asked: "Do you dare to break the rules?! Deal with the gods?! If you are tired of living, I can help you now!"

"rice……"

"No need for a chair."

Ke Wen suddenly interrupted: "I know Angela's location."

While speaking, Coven stepped forward and walked towards the black Minay.

This made Minai narrow her eyes slightly and raise her hands slightly, not knowing what kind of attack was brewing.

Constantine noticed something was wrong with the atmosphere, and he quickly stopped Coven: "Quinn! We need Minai's help!"

"There are many ways for him to help." Ke Wen said calmly: "Surrender is also one."

"Shameless talk!"

The black man Minai was angry and suddenly launched a preemptive attack without giving any face.

He suddenly shook his hands, causing a telekinetic shock wave to instantly fall on Ke Wen's body.

However, Ke Wen was not affected at all.

With telekinesis that was like a breeze to him, he walked all the way to the black man Minai.

In the opponent's astonishment, Ke Wen raised his right hand, grabbed the opponent's neck and lifted him up.

Gala, Gala...

Minai's neck bones kept squeaking in Kewen's hands.

He completely lost his pride, and now only fear remained.

He squeezed Ke Wen's right hand hard with both hands, and Minai's dark face turned red quickly. He slightly stuck out his fat tongue, and his eyeballs bulged to the limit.

Ke Wen's right hand remained motionless, not even swaying during Minai's struggle.

Seeing that Minai was about to go into shock, Constantine finally reacted.

He rushed to Ke Wen's side, and while helping Minai to hold Co Wen's right hand, he said urgently: "Quinn! We need him! The most important thing is!

Coven turned to look at Constantine.

He found that there was no trace of hypocrisy in Constantine's expression.

After thinking about it, Ke Wen relaxed his fingers, then flicked his arm and threw the Minai in his hand far away, causing a wine rack to collapse with a crash.

"I don't know what is called arrogance."

Ke Wen said indifferently: "Just killing a dozen demons has made you so conceited. Lucifer and I have fought before, but we have never reached your level."

Hearing this, Mina could only lie weakly on the ground and gasp for air.

Constantine secretly rolled his eyes, thinking that Ke Wen could really brag.

But there was no time to argue with Kewen, after all, business was more important.

So Constantine stepped forward and helped Minay up.

He said with a sincere face: "Minai, when you were still the only one who remained neutral! Mammon and the gods have united to plot a disaster! Think of the consequences of their conspiracy succeeding!"

Looking at the black man Minai with sincere eyes, Constantine said pleadingly: "Help me! Consider it my last wish!"

Minay looked past Constantine.

He looked at Ke Wen, who was staring at him, and had to nod slightly with interest...
