5. Blow up the Pew Bridge

Two hours later, when Yuesong led two detachments across the Pew River Bridge, the last batch of General Alexander's British troops were retreating through the bridge. The two troops were heading in opposite directions, and the British troops looked on with a playful smile.

Tsukimatsu and the others were chattering, but Tsukimatsu could understand Japanese, but not English, and couldn't understand what they were talking about, but he could roughly guess it.

"As timid as a mouse and shameless." Xizi said hello to the British soldiers while scolding them.

"Hey, Chinese, just you guys can't even afford three rounds of cannon fodder, hahahaha." A British officer sitting in a jeep actually spoke Chinese.

Yuesong gave a thumbs up to the British army, and responded with a smile: "Not bad, you can also speak Chinese. Study hard when you go back, scurry like a mouse with your head in your arms, scurry with your head in your arms, do you remember?"

"Hahaha." The brothers laughed.

The British soldiers also laughed. The officer was stunned for a moment and didn't understand, but when he saw Yuesong giving a thumbs up, he muttered "Catch your head and run away" and started laughing along with it.

After Shihong laughed, he asked Yuesong: "Captain, what do you mean by running around like a mouse? Why are all the British troops laughing too?"

"You idiot, read more books. Just like a mouse, you don't dare to fight, you only dare to run. Do you understand?" Yuesong took out a cigarette, lit it, and continued to move forward with the team.

After crossing the Pew River Bridge, Yuesong led his team to scout along the south bank of the river, looking for the easiest place for the enemy to cross the river. Suddenly, there was a loud "boom" and the brothers looked back.

"The British army blew up the bridge!" Ming He shouted loudly, "Damn it, how can I get back?"

"The Pew River is a natural hazard, especially for mechanized troops. Without a bridge, the pace of the Japanese attack will be greatly delayed. Baipizhu finally did some personnel work, although their purpose was to save their own lives." Yuesong analyzed.

"Oh, that's it." Whooping Crane said, rubbing his head.

"You silly guy, you have followed the captain all over the world for so long, but a river can still stump our special team without using your brain." The third brother laughed at Ming He.

"Hey, third brother Yingming." Brothers in the special force often fight and fight, but brothers are all brothers who have died, and no one cares about the other.

"Captain, on that river beach, the water flow is gentle, the embankment is not high, and the river surface is not wide enough. The Japanese cavalry brigade can wade across the river from here." Lei Hang pointed to the distance and said.

Yuesong looked in the direction Lei Hang pointed, touched Lei Hang's head, and said: "Well done, brothers, learn more from Lei Hang. If you have eyes, you must be good at observation, and if you have brains, you must be good at thinking."

"

"Yes!" The brothers' morale was high.

"Let's go over and have a look. Maybe Commander Dai can use it." After Yuesong finished speaking, he took his brothers over to take a closer look, and immediately ordered Lei Hang to send a report to the division headquarters, "The British troops have all withdrawn.

The bridge on the Youhe River was blown up, and the Japanese cavalry could easily cross the river 10 miles east of the bridge."

After receiving the telegram, Commander Dai held the telegram in his hand and said happily to Chief of Staff Lu: "This Luo Yuesong is really a good reconnaissance expert. He ordered the cavalry regiment to immediately defend Tonggu City after arriving at Tonggu, and at the same time dispatch a battalion of

The troops, cavalry changed to infantry, went to the place Luo Yuesong said, built fortifications to prevent the Japanese cavalry brigade from crossing the river. At the same time, he called Captain Luo back, our cavalry regiment has arrived at the outskirts of Tonggu, and the engineering regiment will arrive soon."

"Yes, I will arrange it right away."

Yuesong received the telegram and felt happy.

Seeing the captain's cheerful look while holding the telegram, the third brother quickly asked: "Is it okay to cause trouble?"

"Third brother, you are right. You should be the vanguard and lead the way." Yuesong ordered.

"Yes!" The third brother became energetic as soon as he heard this. He was the first to rush ahead and set off.

Yuesong made a forward gesture to Brother Chao from afar. Brother Chao raised his hand in response and set off with his team.

More than two hours later, the rapid sound of horse hooves was heard in the distance.

"Hidden." Yuesong gave the order, and the brothers quickly hid themselves.

Yuesong listened carefully and said: "About a mile away, on the road, there must be a Japanese cavalry brigade. Let's go to the top of the mountain over there."

The brother held the gun and followed the captain, quickly shuttled through the jungle, and soon reached a hill beside the road.

Yuesong raised his sniper rifle and opened the sniper scope. A Japanese cavalry detachment galloped on the road.

"Captain, do you want to do it or not? It depends on the number of people, which is seven or eight Japs." Ming He set up his machine gun.

"What the hell, this is the vanguard. In less than half a cigarette, the cavalry brigade from behind came over. The infantry fought the cavalry. Even though it was in the jungle, I was alone and rolled into a cave by accident.

He was beaten to death by the Japs' cavalry." Yuesong said.

"The captain is so powerful, how could this happen?" Lei Hang asked.

"The cavalry is too fast. They can run in the mountains, in the woods, and in shallow rivers. Back then, I hid in a tree and sniped a Japanese officer. It was more than a mile away. I finished shooting and slipped down the tree.

We ran away, but we were still overtaken by the cavalry. We are only two hundred meters across the road. If we can't run away, we can't fight." After Yuesong finished speaking, he turned over and lay on the ground, looking at the sky.

"What are you doing? Just watching?" The third brother was a little impatient.

"Lei Hang, send a report to the division headquarters. The Japanese cavalry brigade is only an hour away from the Pew River at most." Yuesong pulled up a piece of grass and put it in his mouth to chew.

"Yes." Lei Hang sent the message.

Division Commander Dai was sitting on the jeep when the signal trooper came to report and handed the division commander the telegram sent by Captain Luo. He immediately ordered: "The entire division speeds up the march and orders the cavalry regiment to send a battalion to the north bank of the Pew River to stop the Japanese army.

Cavalry Brigade."

"Yes!" the signal soldier agreed and ran away.

"Lao Lu, the cavalry regiment does not have heavy weapons. Order the 1149th Regiment to speed up and send a motorized infantry battalion to take over the cavalry regiment as soon as possible. The cavalry is our treasure. The infantry with heavy weapons can build good fortifications to deal with the Japanese cavalry.

More confident." Commander Dai said to Chief of Staff Lu again.

"Okay, I'll make arrangements right away."

Sure enough, just five minutes after the vanguard of the Japanese cavalry passed by, the Japanese cavalry brigade came over, but they didn't run so fast.

"Why is this Japanese cavalry brigade so slow?" Xizi said.

"You're afraid of being ambushed. In the Chinese battlefield, you will suffer too much. The little devils and the ghosts are all good." Yuesong said.

"Captain, after receiving the division commander's telegram, continue reconnaissance." Lei Hang said.

"It has been confirmed that it is the Japanese cavalry brigade. We cannot fight. Let's go find someone who can fight. Let's go." After Yuesong finished speaking, he stood up, crouched, and continued to move towards Yangon with the team.

Commander Tada Jun was riding a tall horse and marching with a group of officers.

Gao Zhenglongxiong came running to report: "Reporting to the division commander, a suspicious radio signal was found."

"Has it been deciphered?"

"It cannot be deciphered at the moment. It should be a radio signal from the Chinese army. The transmission method is quite different from that of the British army."

"Continue to listen. If you find anything, report it immediately."

"Hi."

"Division commander, there is no intensive radio signal, it should be a small enemy force." A senior staff officer said.

"Well, we ordered all troops to step up their vigilance."

"Hi."
