"The foundation of your Hinayana teachings cannot save the dead and reach the Buddha's ears. It can only be secular and light. It only treats the symptoms but not the root cause. It is fishing for the moon in the water. In the end, it will be in vain. I have the most exquisite Hinayana Buddhism.
The Buddha's Dharma can transcend the dead and ascend to heaven, can save people in difficulty and escape suffering, can cultivate the body for infinite life, and can do things without coming or going. It is actually the general outline of cultivation!"
After saying this, Shen Gongbao hesitated for a moment, then seemed to sigh and said again.
"Besides, there are Hinayana Buddhism and Mahayana Buddhism in this world. These are equally comparable to Hinayana Buddhism. They are all extremely exquisite Buddhism. They are also accessible to the ears of my Buddha, Medicine Master Tathagata. It is natural for me to pray for you."

At this time, the courtiers beside Li Shimin wanted to rush up and scold such a shameless person. Their Taoism had never said such a thing, so how could Buddhism make such nonsense.
But in the end Li Shimin knew the truth and stopped these courtiers because he wanted to see Shen Gongbao's performance.
As for what Shen Gongbao said, he just listened to it and did not take it seriously, which made his impression of Buddhism even worse.
Shen Gongbao also discovered the situation on Li Shimin's side, and was a little panicked. However, he had already said what he said, and it was impossible to take it back and slap him in the face. He hoped that Li Shimin would give him a chance at this time and not undermine him.
In the end, Shen Gongbao breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Li Shimin was indifferent and that Li Shimin stopped the unhappy courtiers.
Xuanzang was shocked when he heard Shen Gongbao's words, and he immediately reacted and asked anxiously.
"Where is your Mahayana Buddhism? If the young monk wants to see it, do you need to prepare anything?"
Knowing that Li Shimin and the others did not come out to cause trouble, Shen Gongbao felt much more relaxed and said to Xuanzang with a smile.
"Those Buddhist teachings are in the Great Leiyin Temple in the West, where I, the Medicine Master Tathagata, live. They are extremely far away from here. They can resolve hundreds of grievances and eliminate countless disasters. There is only one thing, but they are not given easily, nor can they be bought with money.

"How did you know these masters? Are what you said correct? If the young monk wants to go to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures, how should he go?"

So Shen Gongbao flew up to the high platform under the eyes of everyone, and auspicious clouds grew under his feet, reaching up to the sky, and the true appearance of Tuodu Bodhisattva appeared.
Seeing this, Xuanzang didn't know that this was the Bodhisattva from the Great Thunder Sound Temple in the West, who was here to test them.
So Xuanzang immediately performed Buddhist rituals to Shen Gongbao with great piety.
