Just like me, I might be very scared when watching "The Conjuring". When watching "Alien" I feel that the monster is so powerful. When watching "A Chinese Ghost Story" I just feel that the clothes are really big.
On the one hand, it may be a sense of cultural substitution, a pair of worn-out embroidered shoes, a red wedding dress, a crooked-neck tree, a mourning hall, a half-covered coffin, a room at the end of a hospital corridor, a mirror in the bathroom at midnight, and the spinning of an abandoned amusement park.
Trojan horse, any description of these things makes people feel scared;
But seeing things like densely packed eyeballs, vast, slippery tentacles, huge shadows in the deep sea, murlocs, ghouls, mud with complex patterns, and rats all over the mountains and plains, many people will only feel hungry after seeing them.
On the other hand, it may be that the fear of physical monsters mostly comes from lack of firepower, while there is no way to deal with the ethereal ghosts.
So it’s actually quite difficult to create a thriller starting from an indescribable monster.
I have always felt that what is more important in the development of the horror system to this day is not the formal formulas, but the elaboration of the nature of fear in the core. Of course I am not a fundamentalist, and the novels I write are not serious about fundamentalism.
The novel is set in the authentic world of Cthulhu, and is more mixed with elements from some games or film and television works.
Of course, as a newbie, I actually want to write a similar story because I have fun watching group videos. The relaxed tone of the sand sculpture is set from the beginning, and I don’t pursue a horror atmosphere too much, just like what I wrote myself.
Truly super horror works are difficult to promote, and micro-supernatural works are more suitable for the current online writing environment.
Let me briefly talk about the arrangements for the next dungeon. Starting from this dungeon, the plot will become longer. Before, it took about five to ten chapters to complete the plot of the dungeon. The new dungeon has more teammates and the line will be longer. It may be between twenty and twenty-five chapters.
About a chapter or so, and then I will probably keep writing at this length.
