1705 Elf’s Border Defense Line

The past border between elves and dwarves was still very desolate. It had always been a battlefield for both sides and was completely undeveloped.

At both ends of the desolate open space, there are defensive positions built respectively, including trenches and fortresses, as well as barbed wire fences and various cement piles to block the advancement of tanks.

Originally, these places were very flat and very suitable for farming and reclamation, but now this place is completely a preset battlefield - what makes the elves and dwarves happy is that their efforts have not been in vain, and this place has indeed become a battlefield again.

After the alliance between the two countries, all the troops here were mobilized. Now the elves have redeployed their troops and even stationed some troops on the dwarves' past defense line.

Their purpose is simple. They hope to use these border defense lines to block the Tang army from moving south. Although this defense line is no longer complete, and the Refeng Port in the westernmost section has been occupied by the Tang army, the remaining part is still quite large.

Use value.

"What the hell is this..." Inside the defense line, an elf soldier lit a cigarette, stared to the west, and couldn't help but complain to his comrades.

Their defense line was built to face the north. Now, the enemy is rolling over from the west, rendering about half of the bunkers and trenches on the entire defense line useless.

After arriving here, these elven soldiers had to modify their position to make it more suitable for facing attacks from the coastline.

"Be content. I heard that the dwarves have lost half of their country." The comrade leaning against the trench snorted: "If we don't need these positions, the two of us will have to lie in the mud now."

In fact, what he said was right. Without these fortifications, the elves' troops could only defend the Tang army's offensive in a field state in a hurry: then their situation must be much worse than now.

A few days ago, the elves launched an air raid against Rewind Port. As a result, more than 100 aircraft were deployed, and not even a third of them flew back.

Most of the planes were shot down. I heard that they were driven back by Tang planes without even seeing Rewind Port.

Subsequently, the Tang Army dispatched about 30 aircraft to attack the Elf field airport. More than a dozen Elf jet fighters were destroyed on the airport runway, and the two airports were completely paralyzed.

This air battle was the so-called "concentrate forces to counterattack Rewind Port" combat plan. As a result, the ground attack was subsequently canceled due to the heavy losses of the air force.

"There is food here, and there are cigarettes to smoke, which is good." The comrade said while taking out a cigarette: "In a few days, the weather will get even colder. There are no trenches or bunkers. You will freeze to death!"

"You are right. We are much better here than the 7th Army. I heard that they have been building trench fortifications outside Rewind Port for a long time." The elf soldier who complained first nodded in agreement.

They all wear M35 helmets, but the details are different from the traditional M35 helmets of the elves: these helmets have no ventilation holes, and the processing seems to be simpler.

There is no way, the elves are now frantically expanding their production capacity, because they not only need to provide equipment for the several expanding armies of their country, but also produce more to support their dwarf allies.

Nowadays, the dwarves basically have no industry to speak of. Whether it is helmets or bullets, whether it is cars or tanks, they all need the support of elves.

Of course, it's not just the elves, but also the Susas Empire, the Lions Empire and the Dorne Empire. They also need to provide enough weapons and equipment for the dwarves.

But the elves closest to the dwarves must bear more, so these days many military supplies in the Yangmu Empire have shrunk visibly: including the snacks and candies provided to the soldiers, as well as clothing, hats, shoes and socks, the quality has begun to decline significantly.

The sugar cubes are getting smaller and smaller, the more impurities are mixed in, the socks are getting thinner and thinner, and even the soap can no longer produce foam.

"Wait, look over there! Is something moving?" While they were chatting, the elf soldier on guard stopped talking, frowned and looked carefully, then pointed to the distance and asked his comrades beside him.

"It's true... Hey! Hey! Tanks of the Tang Army! Tanks!" His comrades took a closer look and really saw a camouflage-painted tank, staggering through a bush.

He shouted loudly to remind his companions in the trench: "The enemy is attacking! The enemy is attacking! The Tang Army is coming! Their tanks are over there!"

The elven soldiers who had been resting put the M35 helmets at their feet on their heads. They poked their heads out of the trenches and curiously looked at the approaching Tang Army tanks in the distance.

It was indeed a tank they had never seen before: a longer barrel, weird painting... None of them had been to the Ice Empire, and this was the first time they had seen the Type 96 main battle tank equipped by the Tang Army.

"Anti-tank crew! Get in position!" The elf platoon leader emerged from the bunker and quickly ordered his only means of dealing with tanks to take action: "Cover team! Follow them!"

The elf soldier carrying the rocket launcher ran along the trench to the flank, and two elf soldiers carrying submachine guns quickly followed.

On the main position, the Elf's sub-shooter had attached a belt to the machine gun, and the machine gunner had pulled the bolt and pointed the gun at the Tang Army tank.

"Don't fire easily! Otherwise the shells will fly over!" The Elf platoon leader was still very experienced. He loudly reminded his machine gunners to be careful, and then told other soldiers: "Wait until the opponent is close before firing! Save money.

ammunition!"

Although there is a little reserve, the ammunition of the elf troops is still not sufficient, so it is better to save some if possible.

Following orders one after another, the elven soldiers lined up along the trenches. They looked nervously at the Tang army that had dispersed in the distance, sweat dripping from the palms of their rifles.

Thug, tug, tug... vaguely, someone heard the sound of the engine, and then some smart soldiers realized that something was coming.

That was the armed helicopter of the Tang Army, a new thing that these elves had never seen before. These aircraft only hovered at the height of the treetops, often climbing quickly, and then poured the rockets hanging on the wings into the enemy's target at the fastest speed.

On the battlefield.

"What's the sound?" an elf soldier asked his companion nervously.

"How the hell do I know." His companion wiped the sweat from the tip of his nose and retorted.

Before he finished speaking, rockets roared and enveloped the trench where they were. Explosions occurred one after another, and they lost consciousness in an instant. The sky was covered by dust and the sun was covered by the dust, and their ears were filled with the buzz caused by the explosions.

The pain in the body became insignificant, and the internal organs were shaking and rolling...
