But they also know that in their situation, it is impossible to escape the control of the Western Region.
Even if they really intend to surrender to the Wu Dynasty, the probability of being rejected is very high.
Now the emergence of Mahayana Buddhism has really opened up a new route for them that fully meets their expectations.
In their view, Mahayana Buddhism is tailor-made for them.
Their whole lives have been devoted to Buddhist scriptures and dealing with Buddhism and Taoism.
They also have the desire to become Buddhas and ancestors, even if this desire is very far out of reach and even impossible for them to realize in their lifetime.
But it's better than not even having a road.
Hinayana Buddhism doesn't even give them a path.
Mahayana Buddhism gave them such a way to become a Buddha.
Although they know very well in their hearts that not everyone can take this road.
Although they also know very well in their hearts that this road is very elusive.
But at least this is a real path.
If one generation cannot get through, the next generation may be able to get through.
It is better than not seeing any hope from generation to generation.
This was the psychological basis for them to let go of Qingyuan's good friend Liao Jingyuan.
Qingyuan and Liao Jingyuan left the city gate of this Buddhist kingdom. They didn't go far when they heard the sound of horse hooves rushing behind them.
Liao Jingyuan was very calm about this. The crisis was completely expected by Liao Jingyuan.
There is nothing to be afraid of in Qingyuan.
He is a second-grade Bodhisattva. Ning Chen has also said that if he really encounters a life and death crisis, Qingyuan can use his terrifying cultivation.
Soon the people from behind rushed over.
"Two masters, please stay." The man who was catching up on horseback shouted loudly as he ran forward.
Hearing the sound from behind, Liao Jingyuan and Qingyuan also stopped.
"Why did the donor catch up with us?" Qingyuan asked calmly with his hands clasped together.
"The two masters gave us lectures for three days, how could we not repay them?" said the visitor.
Qingyuan said: "We preach without asking for anything in return, just to enlighten all sentient beings."
The visitor quickly apologized and said, "I was the one who was rude, but I saw that it was really hard for the two masters to hike all the way, so I would like to ask the two masters to accept a little bit of our kindness from the Lengmo Kingdom.
These two white horses were given to the two masters for their journey."
The person who came was actually delivering transportation tools, which Liao Jingyuan did not expect.
Qingyuan's attitude remained calm: "We appreciate the benefactor's kindness, so the two of us can just go hiking. This is also a kind of practice."
When the visitor saw that Qingyuan refused to accept it, he also said hurriedly: "Masters, don't think too much, the reason why we gave the horse as a gift.
I really feel that what these two masters said is extremely useful.
We also hope that the two masters can spread this true Buddhist teaching throughout the Western Regions as soon as possible.
So these two horses are actually used for preaching scriptures and have no other meaning."
Qingyuan's attitude towards this issue is still very firm - not accepting it.
Liao Jingyuan doesn't have so many taboos.
The visitor's other words did not move Liao Jingyuan.
But the rapid spread of Mahayana Buddhism really moved Liao Jingyuan.
Although Qingyuan has sealed his cultivation level, the second level is still the second level.
If you walk all the way, the impact on your body will be very small.
But Liao Jingyuan couldn't bear it. Liao Jingyuan was just a scholar who had spent several years studying.
Still not a true Confucian cultivator.
Therefore, Qingyuan has been adapting to its own speed along the way.
Liao Jingyuan can still see this.
If there is such a horse, the speed can indeed be improved a lot.
"Keep this white horse. You can take the remaining one back. Master Qingyuan doesn't need it." Liao Jingyuan said bluntly to the person who caught up with him.
Hearing that Liao Jingyuan was willing to leave a white horse, the person who came to give the horse was already very happy.
"Okay, little master, I'll leave this white horse for you," the visitor said excitedly.
Qingyuan did not stop Liao Jingyuan's choice.
Ning Chen said that he would protect Liao Jingyuan, but he did not say that he would restrict Liao Jingyuan.
"Little Master, there are still some expenses here..."
Liao Jingyuan refused outright: "This is not necessary."
After saying that, Liao Jingyuan turned over and mounted the white horse, slapped the horse's butt, and walked forward.
After Qingyuan saluted, he also stepped forward and chased Liao Jingyuan.
Seeing the retreating figures of Liao Jingyuan and Qing Yuan, the man who came to deliver the horse felt a lot more relaxed.
He came to send the horse, and he really had no other intention.
It's a very simple intention.
He wanted Liao Jingyuan and Qingyuan to go faster.
The sooner Mahayana Buddhism spreads throughout the Western Regions, the earlier they can practice Mahayana Buddhism uprightly and openly.
With the help of the white horse, the speed of the two people has indeed improved a lot.
Only two days later, the two of them arrived at the next Buddhist kingdom.
In the same way, the sutras are lectured for three consecutive days, and everyone can come and listen to the sutras.
This time Liao Jingyuan spoke in more detail.
No matter old or weak, women or children, slaves or kings.
As long as they are living beings in this Buddhist country, they can come and listen to Qingyuan's lectures.
In the Buddhist countries of the Western Regions, slaves were not qualified to come and listen to scriptures.
But because this was the request of the real monk Qingyuan, even the slave owners did not dare to resist.
In the Western Regions, these genuine monks have very great rights.
If you offend them, the consequences will be very serious.
Qingyuan had no involvement in how Liao Jingyuan promoted it.
Qingyuan was only responsible for teaching scriptures.
During the process of lecturing on the scriptures, Qingyuan found that he had some new insights every time he lectured on the scriptures.
These insights made Qingyuan feel that the thick fog blocking the Buddhist road in front of him became shallower.
This feeling gave Qingyuan the same feeling as when he first entered Samana.
When Qingyuan was just selected by his master and entered Buddhism.
Listen to Master's lectures every day, and you will gain new insights every day.
But when Qingyuan reached the current second-grade Bodhisattva state.
When I read those scriptures again, it’s hard to have any new insights.
I didn’t know what was going on in Qingyuan before.
But now Qingyuan seems to have figured it out.
In fact, there is no difference between myself and the vast number of sentient beings. All the sentient beings in the Buddhist Kingdom are just people pulling a boat.
As a second-grade Bodhisattva, he is not a high-level boat puller.
At this point, there is actually no difference between me and them.
Only when you obtain the recognized Bodhisattva status can you change from being a boat puller to being a boat rider.
Maybe it's not really taking a boat, but it's pulling another boat that I can't see.
But Mahayana Buddhism is different. Mahayana Buddhism means that all those who are willing to follow Mahayana Buddhism are already on the same boat from the beginning.
If you want Mahayana Buddhism to take you through the wind and waves to reach the other shore, then everyone on the boat must work together to row the boat.
This is the true salvation of all sentient beings.
After thinking about this, Qingyuan's body suddenly lit up with vast Buddha light.
Buddha's light emerged, completely covering the city where Qingyuan and the others were located.
Seeing the Buddha's light, everyone in the city, whether slaves, slave owners, or kings, etc., all knelt down on the ground.
Quietly waiting for the Buddha's light to shine.
It didn't take long for the Buddha's light to shine on them.
It's just that the Buddha's light this time is obviously different from the previous one.
The Buddha's light that they felt before was very overbearing.
Directly and forcefully erase the distracting thoughts in their minds.
But this time, the Buddha's light was like a gentle breeze, and like spring rain, moistening things silently.
They enjoyed the whole process very much.
They took the initiative to open their hearts and let the Buddha's light enter their hearts.
A resonant fit was quickly reached between the two.
The Buddha's light easily erased the distracting thoughts in their hearts.
They feel a sense of comfort in their bodies from the inside out.
At the same time, they clearly felt that their understanding of Buddhism was much deeper.
This kind of profoundness is not the profoundness after forceful indoctrination, but the profoundness after they understand it on their own.
These are two completely different concepts.
Many people have even directly felt the increase in Buddhist practice.
This change made everyone feel sincerely happy.
The voice of Qingyuan’s lectures continued.
That gentle voice quickly silenced everyone, listening intently to what Qingyuan had to say.
After three consecutive days.
Qingyuan and Liao Jingyuan left the second Buddhist kingdom directly and prepared to go to the third Buddhist kingdom.
The two of them still refused the money offered.
Liao Jingyuan felt that money was dirty, while Qingyuan simply regarded everything now as a kind of spiritual practice among all living beings.
In Qingyuan's view, it is impossible for all living beings to have so many troubles on the road.
Therefore, there is no need for Qingyuan. If there is a place for alms, Qingyuan will have some alms.
The two people who can't eat will stay on the road to eat.
Moreover, Qingyuan and Liao Jingyuan’s alms will be carried out before the lecture begins.
Because once the scriptures are lectured, those who agree with the scriptures may give a lot.
This again goes against the original intention of Qingyuan’s practice.
When Qingyuan and the others left the second Buddhist Kingdom.
In Leiyin Temple, Dading Bodhisattva once again summoned eight other Bodhisattvas to discuss how to solve the problem of spreading Mahayana Buddhism in Qingyuan.
Ordinary people cannot see Qingyuan's true form, but for Dading Bodhisattva and others, this is not a problem at all.
It's just that they really don't know Liao Jingyuan's identity, and they have no place to check it.
Because they never imagined that Liao Jingyuan was just an ordinary person among hundreds of cities in Hezhou.
They never thought that Ning Chen would really let an ordinary person accompany Qingyuan to teach the Dharma.
"If Qingyuan is allowed to continue like this, Mahayana Buddhism may become a thing. How do you think this matter should be handled?" Dading Bodhisattva was the first to speak.
"I think this matter should be decided immediately and the channel for spreading the Dharma in Qingyuan should be cut off immediately." Mahavatar Bodhisattva spoke up and expressed his suggestion.
"Qingyuan is the strongest second level. If we want to conquer Qingyuan now, we may have to pay a big price.
If the war starts like this, many Buddhist countries in the Western Region will see our internal strife.
At the same time, if the price we pay is too high, it will give the Wu Dynasty an opportunity to attack.
Maybe the Wu Dynasty has been waiting for this to happen for a long time." Dazhi Bodhisattva rejected Vajra Bodhisattva's suggestion and explained why he disagreed.
Dazhi Bodhisattva's analysis is completely reasonable.
If they really wanted to deal with Qingyuan, they would have to pay a huge price to be able to kill Qingyuan.
Or maybe it can't be killed at all.
If Qingyuan is determined to escape.
They really can't catch up.
So this plan is simply not feasible.
"Great Wisdom Bodhisattva, what do you think?" Great Concentration Bodhisattva asked Great Wisdom Bodhisattva.
As the wise man in Leiyin Temple, there is nothing wrong with asking Bodhisattva Dazhi for his advice on such matters.
Dazhi Bodhisattva also said without hesitation: "I have carefully watched some scenes of Qingyuan's lectures.
I found that Qingyuan seemed to be completely avoiding the true strength of his second grade throughout the whole process.
He just regarded himself as an ordinary person, passing on the Dharma and imparting karma.
I think we can completely stop the spread of Dharma in Qingyuan from this aspect."
The words of Great Wisdom Bodhisattva aroused the curiosity of all Bodhisattvas.
"Great Wisdom Bodhisattva, how do you think we can stop it?" Great Ding Bodhisattva also asked directly.
Dazhi Bodhisattva said: "Since Qingyuan wants to treat himself as an ordinary person.
We can design many disasters and let Qingyuan survive as an ordinary person.
After all this, if Qingyuan fails to survive the disaster, it will naturally be impossible to spread the Dharma.
Even if we are lucky enough to survive some disasters, I think Qingyuan will be in the process of overcoming them.
He found that his so-called Mahayana Buddhism was simply impossible to help him overcome his calamity.
It is also a very good choice for us to let Qingyuan recognize the reality."
After the Great Wisdom Bodhisattva finished speaking, he quietly waited for the other Bodhisattvas to think.
After a long while, Great Ding Bodhisattva asked: "What do you think of Great Wisdom Bodhisattva's plan?"
"Amitabha!" Vajra Bodhisattva was the first to express his approval.
The other six Bodhisattvas also expressed their agreement.
Seeing this situation, Great Singing Bodhisattva immediately decided: "Great Wisdom Bodhisattva, I will leave this matter to you.
If you need anyone's cooperation, just ask.
This matter must be resolved as soon as possible before Qingyuan travels to the Buddhist country in the Western Regions.
Otherwise, Qingyuan is really allowed to spread Mahayana Buddhism throughout the entire Western Region.
Our situation will be very dangerous."
"I will obey the decree of the Dharma." Bodhisattva Dazhi responded with one hand raised in salute.
Discussions between Bodhisattvas naturally cannot be held for hours at a time like Ning Chen's later generations.
After the matter was confirmed, Dading Bodhisattva disappeared directly.
The remaining eight Bodhisattvas knew that there was nothing to discuss.
Everyone then dispersed one after another.
Dazhi Bodhisattva also quietly left the Buddhist temple.
The next catastrophes need to be planned by Dazhi Bodhisattva himself, and the task is still quite arduous.
Especially after the first two failures, Dazhi Bodhisattva was still somewhat wary.
