Chapter 39 The first clues

Wu Xiaoxie swept over with a flashlight and saw many rusty bronze arms exposed in the huge tree roots, standing in four directions, looking like four stone statues wrapped together.

It's impossible to tell whether the postures and shapes of the stone statues are the same just by looking at the exposed parts, but including the ones hidden under tree roots, the height is about the same as the one seen outside.

Wu Xiaoxie couldn't help but murmur, "The good thing Lao Itch said couldn't be this terrifying stone statue, right? This is too unreliable."

After saying that, I shook my head first, definitely not.

Even if this stone statue has great benefits and is extremely valuable, they can't take it away.

"Go up further." After Zhang Zhuxun finished speaking, he took the lead in raising his feet and continued upward.

Wu Xiaoxie sighed and had no choice but to grab his backpack and follow.

Continuing to walk up, the faces of those stone statues are still wrapped inside and cannot be seen clearly.

The two came to a place parallel to the sacrificial platform. Zhang Zhuxun looked around and said: "These four statues are placed at the four corners, which means there must be something else in the middle. We have to go and take a look."

Wu Xiaoxie was actually a little curious in his heart as to why Zhang Zhuxun was so enthusiastic about this "big benefit". He was even more persistent than the fat man about the bright weapon.

But he didn't think much about it, thinking that Zhang Shuxun was just interested.

Next to him, Zhang Zhuxun had already taken out the three-claw hook from his backpack, tied it on a climbing rope, held the rope and swung his forearm four or five times, then used the momentum to throw it towards the altar, and the three-claw hook flew out.

The parabola, with a clanking sound, firmly hooked a thick tree root near the altar.

Suddenly, many strange gray bugs emerged from the cracks in the roots of the tree. The large area was gray and numb, and the scalp felt numb at a glance.

Those little bugs were very fast and disappeared into the surrounding gaps in the blink of an eye.

Zhang Zhuxun's face looked a little strange. He stared there for a while, then turned to Wu Xiaoxie and said: "You go through first, the distance here is relatively close, and it is a slope. I will jump over by holding the rope later."

Wu Xiaoxie nodded, and with Muyu's skills, there was nothing wrong with jumping over this distance.

So Wu Xiaoxie grabbed the rope that was swung at an angle just like the slope, put his feet on it, slid along the rope to the opposite side, and then grabbed the tree roots next to the altar to stand firm.

If you look closely, you will see that those gray bugs look a bit like cicada larvae. As soon as he came over, a large number of bugs were stimulated and fled away into the distance.

Zhang Shuxun's hand holding the rope unconsciously tightened, and half of his face was hidden in the darkness, making it difficult to see clearly.

Wu Xiaoxie felt something in his heart, and he had an inexplicable bad feeling. When he calmed down and took a closer look, he saw that Zhang Zhuxun on the opposite side had already pulled the rope with his right hand and was swinging diagonally towards him. He was stabbing on the root of the tree with one foot.

Stay in shape.

He raised his head and saw Wu Xiaoxie staring at his left hand, then smiled and said: "My left hand accidentally made a cut before. I just stopped the bleeding, so I can't use any force."

As he spoke, he stretched out his hand in front of Wu Xiaoxie for him to see.

Through the light, Wu Xiaoxie saw that there was indeed a long bloody gash on his palm, turning over the tender meat, which looked quite ferocious.

Wu Xiaoxie nodded, suppressed the doubts in his heart, and asked casually, "Then why don't you wrap it up with medicine? It hurts even when you look at it."

Zhang Zhuoxun laughed, waved his hands casually and said: "It's just a small injury."

Wu Xiaoxie's heart sank slightly, she pursed her lips and said nothing more.
